New Black and white version of Princess Lila and Cave

As Princess Lila and Cave is self published it means that the price of printing is taken from the overall selling price of the book.
When Lila and her daddy put the book together, they never wanted to make a profit, they had done the project out of the love of working and interacting together, however, saw the finished product as an opportunity to make money for the Cancer Fund For Children.

We put the asking price as low as we could, for a colour book, whilst added a little more for the asking price so that we could make money for the charity.

We released a digital version of the book also and although sales were good, I think that the £11.99 asking price for Lila’s book was considered a bit steep for some.

With this in mind, Lila’s daddy has now put together a black and white version of the book together.  The asking price for this book is £4.99 AND there is still money going to the Cancer Fund For Children.

The very awesome, Princess Lila and Cave has been available for just over a month now and the sales have been great.
We have sold 22 copies and rasied £69 for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund For Children which, I think you will agree, is marvellous!

Over the next few months we will try to contact some local press, put some flyers out and generally let the world know of this mystical and most epic children’s book!

A big thank you from Lila to all of you wonderful people that have supported Lila by buying a copy of her amazing book or by simply sharing updates about this project.  It is very humbling to see Lila’s book popping up all over Facebook.  Thank you again.

picsay-1392878281Two weeks ago, Rebecca from the NICFC came to Lila’s house to meet the author and to snap a picture with her.  Lila was very excited and was only too pleased to talk about her book and her amazing sticker collection that she has earned from good behaviour in school.

Just recently the story of Lila’s project was featured on the Good to Know website and this can be read here

A big thank you to Emma for setting this up for us 🙂

To finish up – Lila has this message, ‘Thank you all for buying my book. I hope you have a lovely summer!’

And, if you haven’t picked up a copy of Lila’s amazing children’s book then what are you waiting for?  Suitable for boys, girls, men, women and anyone with a sense of humour.

Pre-release and photo opportunity

Hello there,

Lila’s daddy here with an update.  Lila’s book – Princess Lila and Cave was pre-released to ‘likers’ of her Facebook page on Sunday.  Sadly, due to the restraints of Facebook, only a small percentage of her fans were able to see that her masterpiece was available 😦 even with an event being set up.
I have a plan on ensuring that everyone is made aware of the book in time for the official release later in the month  but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

A PDF version of the book has been made available and can be purchased on this site via the link to the right of the screen or here.  PDF copies will work on many more devices that your standard Kindle book format, these PDF copies will actually work on your Kindle book reader too!

Lila will be taking her copy of Princess Lila and Cave into school with her next week.  We have not told her teachers about her book yet and I wish I could see their faces when they see how awesome it is.  I will be contacting the head teacher before the end of next week as a representative from the NICFC will be at Lila’s school on the 17th of January and Lila will hopefully be getting a picture with her book.

Massive thanks to all that have bought a copy of Princess Lila and Cave already.
